A Major Scale

  • Key Signature: Three Sharps
  • Scale Formula: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
  • Scale Intervals: W W H W W W H

If you have read the posts on understanding major scales and playing major scales up and down the neck, you should be able to figure out for yourself how to play A major in different positions along the fretboard. Having said that, it is quite useful to look at each individual key to reinforce the theory and application of the scale.
