E Flat Major Scale OR D major scale
- E Flat Major Scale Notes: Eb F G Ab Bb C D
- D Sharp Major Scale Notes: D# E# F## G# A# B# C##
- Eb Key Signature: Three Flats
- D# Key Signature: D Sharp is rarely used due to problems caused by the need for double sharps
- Scale Formula: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
- Scale Intervals: W W H W W W H
The D Sharp major scale contains 5 sharps and 2 double sharps. A double sharp is notated with an “x” symbol. The 7 notes are as follows:
D# – E# – Fx – G# – A# – B# – Cx
D sharp and E flat are actually the same. The E flat major scale only has 3 flats. Because of this, it is easier to work with than D sharp.
